Lark Ranch

The kids had a great weekend!  After we 'walked to cure diabetes' at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation downtown Indy on Saturday morning, we headed to Greenfield to visit the Lark Ranch.  The kids had a blast!  Our afternoon included fun with cousins Will and Abby, feeding some very nice donkeys, a trip (by Austin and Abby) down a huge slide, pony rides, and of course a hayride to the pumpkin patch.

Fall-like weather = a GREAT day for the park

Lilly

What?

I said...WHAT?!?
I'm busy!
Fine...I'll smile but I'm not taking this out of my mouth!

Austin

Mmmm...this is good.
What mom?!?
Can't you see...I'm eating a popsicle?
Ok fine...CHEESE!

Zoo

The kids enjoyed a recent trip to the zoo with some of their favorite people (including cousins Kenzie and Shelbie.)

ROARRRRR!

We barely made it through about half of the animals before it was clearly time to head home.  All in all, I think they really enjoyed the zoo this summer.

While it lasts...

Soaking up what's left of summer...

Indiana State Fair

The kids enjoyed the State Fair this year.  They really liked the animals, corn dogs, and especially the rides.  I had no intention of purchasing ride tickets this year thinking the kids would have zero interest.  Boy was I wrong...Austin was begging to ride at the first site.

Cousin Kenzie graciously rode most of the 'kiddie' rides with Austin, and he LOVED them!

At first, Lilly wouldn't even get out of the stroller for fear I'd force her to ride the rides with Austin.  She insisted on going with Papaw's group.  Word on the street is that she rode EVERY ride with her new best friend Brayden.  I've yet to see the proof in pictures. :o)
Needless to say, the kids were officially worn out by midday.

I'm sure the kids will be chomping at the bit to go to the State Fair when it rolls around next year...and maybe we can make it more than a fourth of the way around the loop before the kids fall asleep.

Twins

Even though they may not be typical twins (not that I even know what 'typical' twins are,) they really DO like to do some things together.

And they DO act like typical brother and sister...fighting over who gets to drive.
